Dušan Kranjc

Dušan Kranjc graduated as a trombone soloist from the University of Ljubljana. For several years, he has served as principal trombonist of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. He later continued his studies with Branimir Slokar in Trossingen (Germany).
He teaches at the Academy of Music, University of Ljubljana and at a music school in Austria. He is a trombone soloist with Camerata Academica Salzburg, MAS (Salzburg Baroque Ensemble) – Musica antiqua Salzburg, OENM (Austrian Ensemble for New Music), and the Lungau Big Band.
Since 1990, Dušan Kranjc has been a member of the Juvavum Brass Quintett, with which he has performed at numerous festivals, including the Salzburg Festival, Salzburger Adventsingen, Festival für neue Musik Bozen, Kammermusik Festival Allegro Vivo, International Music Weeks Millstatt, Festival Sandstein & Musik Dresden, Bluval Straubing, Haydn Festival Eisenstadt, Jeunesse Musicales, Contemporary Autumn, Musica Sacra Trient, Ljubljana Festival, Festival Lent Maribor, Gröden Music Weeks, as well as concerts in Italy, Slovenia, France, Poland, Germany, Mexico, Taiwan, the USA, Israel, and elsewhere.
